In 1997, I took the leadership role of Entre Prises, USA – a then branch of a struggling artificial climbing wall company based in France. Not only was the company rapidly heading to bankruptcy, creating indoor climbing facilities was in its infancy as an industry.
I was in unchartered territory. Over the next 13 years I put together a more than 70-person team, purchased the company and created a business plan that would grow Entre Prises, USA into a multi-million dollar company that to this day is the world leader in artificial climbing walls. That business plan included sustained profits and a successful exit strategy in 2008 for two partners and myself.
Over the last seven years I have served as an angel investor in one of the country’s most successful and supportive emerging business organizations – Bend Venture Conference.
I am a facilitator for Opportunity Knocks, which is a Central Oregon business group that creates teams of business leaders that helps them to navigate business problems and solutions through mentoring and partnerships. I increased the organization’s membership by more than 200 people as the former Director of Membership Sales.
I am also a founding and current member of BOW – Bend Outdoor Worx – an accelerator-mentoring program for new business in the outdoor industry.
What I have discovered in my career as a consultant is a passion for helping people succeed in business by aiding them to create a profitable working model that allows balance in life. It’s what I’m good at, it’s the lifestyle I follow and it’s my goal to help people turn their business dreams into successful endeavors.
